This is a Koinobori kokeshi doll wearing a samurai helmet, by HIRAGA Teruyuki who is a Sakunami style kokeshi craftsman in Tohoku, Japan.

Koinobori is a kind of decoration for Kodomo-no-hi 子どもの日, which is a day to celebrate and pray for the health and growth of boys. (We have another cerebration day for girls in March.)
We decorate our garden with koinobori and inside the house with samurai helmet.

He combined different decorations to celebrate the day in one kokeshi doll.
